Iblard Jikan イバラード時間 - Iblard's Time - The Ghibli Studio Short Film
With this short review I want talk about of the short films of the great Studio Ghibil, iIblard Jikan (The time of Iblard) is a short film produced by Studio Ghibli in 2007, directed by Naohisa Inoue and music by Kiyonori Matsuo, a musician, active since 1980.
The short film It’s characterized by no plot, no characters, so what is it?
Let’s start from the director: Naohisa Inoue is an artist, she lives in Osaka and she paints fantasy, surrealist and impressionist paintings; from these the fantastic world of Iblard comes to life, and these illustrations the Studio Ghibli animates in computer graphics.
Phantasmagoria ファンタスマゴリア the OAV anime directed by Shigeru Tamura
A piece of Phantasmagoria is an animated series, collected in a film, directed by Shigeru Tamura for Bandai Visual. A visionary OAV, very particular as well as its animations, a dreamlike experience.
The film, dated 1995, is inspired by a book of illustrations, dating back to 1989, consists of 15 episodes, characterized by a very simplistic and childlike graphics, but at the same time capable of upsetting what we consider ordinary and common, transforming it into a dream.
[Review] Koe No Katachi 聲の形
Koe No Katachi 聲の形, a Silent Voice (translated in Italy as "the Shape of the Voice"), an adolescent cross-section that explores the psychological relationships of a couple of boys within society and school. Love, inequalities due to the main protagonist's handicap, jealousies, misunderstandings and that innate "malice" of children which will have dramatic peaks.
[Review] Kizumonogatari 傷物語 The Movie On Araragi and Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade
Finally complete the Film Kizumonogatari which tells us the prequel of the Bakemonogatari series. The past, of Araragi and Kiss-shot Acerola-orion Heart-under-blade only seen in small flashes. Their story that joins the meeting with Tsubasa Hanekawa. The film was divided into 3 episodes which made their appearance in Japanese theaters at different times, in different years, one could say given the duration of the series.
Gate: jieitai kano chi nite, kaku tatakaeri" ゲート 自衛隊 彼の地にて、斯く戦えり
Gate: jieitai kano chi nite, kaku tatakaeri ゲート自衛隊彼の地にて、斯く戦えり ( translatable to Gate: in that land, the self-defense forces fight like this) is taken from the light novels by Takumi Yanai and illustrated by Daisuke Izuka. Which saw in 2011 was followed by a manga transposition and followed by this Anime series.
The plot is very particular and blends fantasy series with modern characters, but with an intent (sometimes not too veiled) of "propaganda" linked to Japan's self-defense forces.
